On March 6, 2016, we opened our doors in Des Moines with a simple goal: help Central Iowa families find out if they had a radon problem, and fix it properly if they did. Ten years later, that’s still the whole job. This week we’re celebrating our 10th anniversary, and we want to say thank you.
Where We Started
Iowa has some of the highest radon levels in the country. Every county in the state sits in EPA Radon Zone 1, and yet a lot of homes have never been tested. Plenty of people first hear about radon from a surprise result on a home inspection, and they don’t know who to trust.
That’s why we work the way we do. We explain the numbers in plain words. We don’t push systems people don’t need. And we make sure someone answers the phone, because a high radon result rarely shows up during business hours.

Where We Are Now
Today we serve homeowners and small businesses across 12 Central Iowa counties from our office in Franklin Plaza on Franklin Avenue in Des Moines. That covers Polk, Story, Dallas, Jasper, Marion, Madison, Boone, Marshall, Tama, Grundy, Hardin and Hamilton counties.
Our work falls into three services:
- Radon mitigation. Sub-slab and sub-membrane depressurization systems designed for each home.
- Radon testing. Continuous-monitor tests for homeowners, buyers and sellers.
- New construction radon systems. Radon-resistant construction for builders, plus fan activation for passive pipes that test high.
The People Behind the Work
We’re a small team, and we like it that way.
- Ryan Coleman, Owner & CEO, founded the company in 2016.
- Eddie Gilroy, Director of Operations, runs field operations and handles scheduling and dispatching of our network technician partners.
- Hillary Jennings, Customer Support, helps homeowners, buyers and agents book tests and installs.
Every technician who comes to your home is credentialed through the Iowa HHS radon program and carries at least one national training certification from NRPP, NRSB, CERTI or ICA School.
By the numbers
Our systems deliver up to 98.9% radon reduction, and homes that tested above 4.0 pCi/L are routinely brought below 1.0 pCi/L.
What Hasn’t Changed
Ten years in, a few promises stay the same:
- 24/7 customer support. Book or ask a question any time, day or night.
- A 5-year warranty on every system and install.
- A clearance test after every install, so you know your new level for sure.

Thank You, Central Iowa
None of this works without the families, agents, builders and small business owners who trusted us with their homes and buildings. To everyone who took the time to leave us a 5-star review on Google, Angi or Facebook: thank you. Those reviews help your neighbors find someone they can trust.
Here’s to the next ten years. If you’ve never tested, start with our guide on why radon levels are so high in Iowa, or read what radon mitigation is and how it works.
